Dr. Christopher Nicholas (Geology) Receives Provost’s Teaching Award:

The Trinity College Dublin annual Provost’s Teaching Awards were presented by Dr. Patrick Prendergast to five members of staff in recognition of their enthusiasm and commitment to ensuring students receive quality teaching and learning.  The Awards are Trinity College’s principal means of celebrating academic staff who have made an outstanding contribution in the pursuit of teaching excellence in College and who promote teaching as a scholarly activity.
The 2013 recipients included Dr Robert Armstrong, School of Histories and Humanities, Dr Nicholas Johnson, School of Drama, Film and Music (Early Career Award), Dr Christopher Nicholas, School of Natural Sciences, Professor Luke O’Neill , School of Biochemistry and Immunology and Dr Zuleika Rodgers, School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies.   This year a total of 91 academic staff members were nominated by 176 students. Twelve candidates overall were shortlisted and presented with a certificate of commendation by the Provost at the awards ceremony.
