Launch of ‘The Roadside Geology of West Kerry’.

A series of signs that explain and illustrate the geological features seen at ten localities around West Kerry (The Dingle Peninsula) have recently been erected.  The information for these signs was provided by Dr Patrick Wyse Jackson (Department of Geology) and the project was co-funded by the Heritage Council and Kerry County Council. The project aims to increase public awareness and understanding of the significant geological heritage of this part of County Kerry.
