Geological Museum takes part in Culture Night 2012
September 2012
The Geological Museum opened its doors for the first time for Culture Night on Friday 21 September. During a period of five hours over 3500 people visited the Museum Building where the new display cases in the hallway were admired and the two Giant Irish Deer skeletons marveled at. In the Geological Museum gallery visitors viewed the exhibition The Story of the Earth, where the Curator Patrick Wyse Jackson was on hand to answer questions and show them two geological treasures not normally on display: a dinosaur egg from Mongolia and a stony meteorite from India.
